| Eqs including (but not limited to) luminous carapace, stone sandals of the master, and emerald shin guard/ruby greave, were changed to use some new code to track how much they heal and prevent them from healing too much. Basically each item is given a max it can heal in a minute. When it attempts to heal, it first checks to see what healing it can do, and then if it can do any it does some.
Because of the way eq is balanced, essentially any item that heals you when you take damage has to be treated like a regen boost. It can be slightly better than normal regen, perhaps, because it requires that you be taking combat damage to do any healing, but it cannot be much better. Originally there were no limits, but then someone pointed out that you could use entry hits to regen to full using such eq / prots.
At any rate, hopefully none of the items are going to give us any issues, though it is possible that the code in left satyr legs will (though if you see the ep healing message from them, then they are working just fine). |
