| Did this a couple of days ago and figured i should post about it. Half-fixed MXP for clan and party channels. Meaning you can now, if you want to and have support for it (zMUD and cMUD), make a MXP trigger for CLAN_LINE and PARTY_LINE to do something with it.
I use it to capture clan and party line to a chat window, works nicely :) |

OK, I do not have an MXP client. Still, I would love to capture different channels to different windows. Some "features" of the mud might make this difficult, but you may manage, some make it just impossible. What struck me hardest, was that it works differently on almost every type of communication. Tells have auto breaks, continued with indentation of four spaces. Clan channels have no breaks, no indentation. Party channels has breaks but no indentation, so I see no way to capture that properly, and I dislike that heavily. Normal channels seem to work like clan channel... I would really like to see something that really makes use of the columns command and the setting it represents? Maybe we could have the indents from tell for every means of communication?
Thanks for considering,

| Even before i used mxp, i didn't find it that hard to capture channels etc. Bit annoying to match all the brackets, but once that was done it wasn't that hard. I guess it depends on client though. |

Which is imho impossible if you have line breaks in it like it's the case with party channel and thus completely volatile text to match... till what happens? IF anybody has a REAL idea of how to solve that I can only capture first line of something, you're welcome to help me out. |

How about instead of coming up with a REAL solution, I just sit here and make light of your problem (which, frankly, I can't be bothered to understand.), and taunt you for failing to overcome it?
Does that work for you?
I gotta tell you, it works pretty well for me.
Though, I suppose, that's just because I'm an asshole.
