| Someone suggested that I make a Patreon so that people who want to
show their appreciation for the stuff I do here in a monetary
fashion can. I have done this, mostly because it was an amusing way
to spend my time. I want to be clear about 2 things:
1) If it were not for the fact that people have given me money in
appreciation for my contributions here, and that it was a mudder who
suggested I should have a Patreon, I would not have done this. I do
not expect that I will get anything out of it.
2) I will not be giving anyone any favors if they choose to send
money my way. The closest the MUD at large will get to favors is if
I get more money than the cost of a soda every couple of days or
something, I will give a chunk of the money to Korthrun towards the
cost of maintaining the server and stuff. I feel that's fair.
I am not going to post a link to the Patreon. If people want to know
the link, they can send me a private message and I will give it to
them. I do not want this to be a public spectacle, and I am sure I
will get scorn by having done this. But really, it wasn't my idea,
and people have been doing this kind of thing without me having a
Patreon anyway. |
