this had nothign to do with gauge opponent.
It was due to a monster moving into the room with you.
something was moving around with you.. were you being chased
perhaps?

To my knowledge, I was not being chased by anything. I just checked gauge opponent (it worked) in Zun Zoo (since it was close), so I will check again in dragons to see if it is working there too.

It worked in dragons too. It is possible that something was chasing me from another area...I can't recall. Would something chasing me from one island cause that error on another island? I got the error right after trying to use gauge opponent...it seems weird it would be from something chasing me. Sorry I can't reproduce the bug at this time. If i get more information, I will re-report. Thanks for looking into this.
