SERIOUS gold duplication bug -- in the race select room, do the following:
1) Save.
2) Drop 1 gold.
3) touch some race
4) enter mirror
5) Pick up gold.
It appears that after selecting a race, the gold that got dropped reappears in inventory.
But returning to the race select room shows that it is still is on the floor.
This can be repeated as necessary until ridiculous sums of gold are amassed.

yea, my original fix method worked so long as you didn't use the save command prior to the drop. should work all the time now.
